LEGO Education – Structures

A vintage Lego Dacta kit which gives a progressive introduction to the principles of stable and movable structures and how to test these for weaknesses. By investigating bridges and towers, students learn about structure, function, strength, stability, forces and loads. Another vintage set from Lego Dacta, this educational Lego set teaches children about simple and powered mechanisms using hands-on activities.

It comes with a teacher guide, instruction booklets and student copymaster sheets.  This is recognised as one of Lego’s best original sets.  The booklets tie Lego in with “real world” mechanisms.

Lego Education Simple Machines Set

Features 16 principle models, four main models and four problem-solving models that enable students to investigate and understand the operation of simple and compound machines found in everyday life: gears, wheels and axles, levers and pulleys. Comes with a teacher guide and activity pack on CD.  This is a smaller set than those above so think about hiring something else to fill the postbag!
